West Brunswick Spikers Sweep Scorpions

The North Brunswick Scorpions volleyball team fell 3-0 to West Brunswick in a match held at West Brunswick September 29. With the loss the Scorpions fell to 5-10 overall and 3-5  in Waccamaw Conference play. West Brunswick improved to 13-4 and 7-1 in the conference.
The scores on the night were 25-10, 25, 18, and 25-12. In the three set loss Daja White and Kelsey Sanders each had an ace for the Scorpions. Meagan Spivey led the team with four kills. Daja White recorded three while Allison Burton and Macey Bordeaux had two each. Burton added three assists.

Jasmine Jackson led the Trojans attack with 11 kills. Alex Wickel had 31 assists and Mary Inions had six digs to lead West Brunswick.
For the season Spivey is leading the Scorpions with 51 kills. She is followed by White with 34. Spivey has 19 aces and Kelsey Sanders has 10 on the season. Burton leads the team with 23 assists, and Sanders leads with seven solo blocks.
The Scorpions only have four regular season matches remaining and they return to action when they host Whiteville October 4.North Brunswick defeated the Wolfpack in early September 3-1.
